About us
Hi, I’m Megan… the lone mama behind PoplarLane Home. While on maternity leave with my twins, our family moved to a farm. Long story short, I didn’t return to my job in Saskatoon. Instead, I began making items for my kids as they grew, using materials I could find around the house. Much of the wood I use in my products has been from my own yard, scraps, leftovers, and reclaimed to be given new life!
I have always wanted to sell the things that I make for myself and finally felt like I had found a unique item in the kids play tent. I made a few for family members and started up an Instagram account so I could reach others, with the intention of providing items that would help bring peace and joy and beauty to the homes of others. One thing I was not expecting is all the amazing connections and sense of community that has come along with it!
My business started out as “CanvasMOON” in 2018. I relaunched my business as “PoplarLane Home” as I wanted to also start offering a curated selection of my favourite things from other small shop Canadian makers! I am all about sharing the love and creating a joyful, warm, and sustainable home.
Products
Kids play tents. Created to allow kids to have their own little space for rest, reading, and imaginative play! The Signature Series comes in 3 different sizes and price points, made using durable 8oz canvas for a look that suits any decor. Folds up for easy storage if space is limited.
Hooks/Shelfies. Designed to help you organize your home and to encourage your kids to clean up after themselves by offering simple storage solutions in fun colours. Choose from what’s readily available or contact for customization!
Clothing/Costume Rack. Get your little ones acquainted with hangers and hanging up their clothes from an early age! Features a canvas shelf for shoes and accessories, and is collapsible for easy storage or relocation. (Ex. Move to entry way when you are expecting visitors!)
Rentals
Lace tent rental. This stunning piece was originally created for a Glamping themed birthday party, and I have since decided to rent it out! With or without the white and beige rug and pillows. It would make the perfect backdrop to birthday parties, wedding photos, or even a moms night out! Add your own accessories and greenery to make it truly unique to your event.
