Hi! I’m Brooke Bulloch, a Registered Dietitian and CEO at Food to Fit Nutrition. I started my private practice in 2012 and I lead a small team of Dietitian’s, where we offer personalized nutrition services focused on self discovery, food peace, and health behaviours. My area of specialty includes: Gastrointestinal issues, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Infertility, Food allergies, and Infant nutrition.
While I have been leading Introducing Solids Courses in the community since 2010, it was a little different when I went through the process recently with my own baby. I decided to combine the most recent evidence and best practice with the practical aspect from my experience as a Mom, putting it into an e-course. It saves parents from having to read several books to figure out how it’s done.
The e-course includes over 2 hours of material and covers 10 Chapters including:
- Vitamin D
- Signs your Infant is Ready for Solids
- First Foods
- How Much Solid Food and How Often
- Baby Led Weaning Concepts and Research
- Texture Safety and Advancement – to Puree or Not to Puree
- Reducing Choking Risk
- Introducing Allergenic Foods
- Milk Products and Plant Based Beverages
- Raising an Intuitive Eater
The course includes an introductory video, a Power Point slide presentation with commentary by me, pictures showing plated foods and textures, 10 videos of my son demonstrating concepts presented while he navigated his first foods, and handouts including starter recipes. Each participant has a 3-month access to the course material and can navigate at their own pace. Once completed, participants also get a 15-minute Q and A with me!
