GoodBuy Gear was started to solve a personal pain point. When my daughter was 8 months old, I had a household full of stuff that she had outgrown, and we needed more gear.
To try buy used gear, I joined a moms group and ended up driving across town to meet someone in a sketchy parking lot. The whole thing felt unsafe. After that I sent a survey to a group of 100 parents and 80 of them responded that they had the same problem! A trip to Crested Butte with Jessica, and a couple margaritas later, we had a business idea. That Monday morning we got together and started the company.

Founded in 2016, GoodBuy Gear is a managed marketplace that enables parents to safely and sustainably circulate quality-used baby & kid products they love. Our mission is to give shopping and selling secondhand children’s items the convenience and legitimacy it deserves. When you have kids, there’s so much stuff you need, or at least think you need. That’s why we took it upon ourselves to become unbiased gear experts, so you don’t need to be. We only sell safe, clean, and quality-checked products so parents can shop with confidence. Once your kids are done with their items, you can easily sell them knowing you’re helping another family own for less. We’ve created a curated marketplace where parents can circulate baby & kid items they love because we believe there’s always good to go around.
